In today 's society, people rely on technology in almost every part of our day. Every part of our society changes as technology advances and some of the few things that technology can change are our personal relationships, physical health, laws, energy uses, and communication. All of these things adjust with the advancement of new technology, resulting in a change in the "balance" in the community. The adoption of new ideas and techniques does not occur naturally, rather, they are the results from hard work, trial, and error." [1]

Using smart phones to conduct online banking has serious risks. Hackers can potentially steal sensitive information from an account number to social security numbers because the information is being entered online. Even with new security measures being implemented regularly to help prevent hackers, there are still holes in some programs that invite hackers in. Also with cell phone technology increasing, people are losing communication skills. instead of having a face to face conversation, most people send text messages to communicate with one another. In most texting applications on phones, they carry autocorrect. Autocorrect is spell and grammar check all together and makes the changes for you automatically. Alot of people who are involved with cell phones start to lose communication skills such as talking properly sue to slang words being used during text messages. Due to this, we spend an increased amount of time using technology and are spending much less time outside doing physical activities than our previous generations. This is especially true for children. Drs. Fakhouri, Hughes, Brody, Kit and Ogden found that, "Fewer than 4 in 10 children met both physical activity and screen-time recommendations currently." [2] Due to the accessibility of entertainment from sources like Netflix and YouTube and streaming services such as Twitch, the number of Americans who goes out for physical activity is dwindling because everything is at your fingertips.
