Thomas Aquinas athletics have taught me to have confidence in myself, never to worry when trying new things, to always think positive in any situation, and to never underestimate my own abilities. Although soccer and basketball are team sports, I have learned to compete against myself in hope to improve with each game I play. In order to improve, both dedication and hard work is required but does not solely depend on my teammates and coaches assistance. I believe in order to improve one’s ability, one must not only seek assistance from others but also find the determination and passion within themselves to become a better athlete.
