Everything started when I got out of high school. Like a normal teenager, I didn’t know what to do with my life. Life was hard and expensive so I decided to get a job. It was hard for me to find a job without experience so I got to the point where I was losing hope. Until one day I decided to apply in Golden Corral as a waitress; surprisingly they called me the next day. Mr. Chavez, the manager from Golden Corral, called me to make an interview. That same day I got the job, he was so happy with my interview that he said I didn’t need a second interview. I started working the next day. Unfortunately, my first day working as a waitress was on Mother’s Day, you wouldn’t imagine the crowd of people I saw that day. I felt a little overwhelmed because there were a lot of people coming in and out of the restaurant all day long. After the rush, one of my coworkers introduced me to Lupe. She introduced herself with a big wide smile and said to me “You are a pretty young lady; you will love this place. If you need help with something just let me know.” She was the first one to talk to me, and since then we never stop talking to each

In my life it is not necessarily experiences that have shaped who I am, but instead the people whom I have met during those experiences along the way. When I was younger I played soccer frequently and joined a local team that was coached by a man named Joe Di Lillo. At the time I did not know the importance he would hold in my life or how having known him in his last years of life would change me, yet looking back I find that so much of my self determination is rooted in both his life experiences and the knowledge he handed down to me. Joe was Bon in 1933 in he city of Roman, thirty miles from Naples. Born into a poor family Mr. Di Lillo did not have the opportunity to have an education and his family believed it was more important for him…

The most satisfaction I have had in life started with helping out my family in little acts of service, talking to them, and listening when they went through a hard time. This continued into school, in my religious life, the workplace, and my mission. I can explain more about things that helped me in a later essay. I have been looking around for opportunities to be directly involved in helping others, and I believe I found it in being a sports camps counselor. Not only is that, but the opportunity to help others learn and develop in their adolescent years something that I enjoy.…

For me personal mastery teaches that an individual needs to establish their own vision and values and align their actions to these visions and values. These visions and values should also be aligned to that of the organisation. It requires the person to look critically at the current reality and clarifying what is important to them and what they need to do to achieve what they want. This generates what is referred to as creative tension and in personal mastery it requires individuals to learn how to identify and deal with the creative tension in their lives. Creative tension can only be resolved when reality moves towards the vision.…
