They are known as the technology that changed society and that changed the way of life in bad ways too. Cell phones are an amazing invention that made life completely different.

Why were they invented?
Cell phones are used for talking to each other without being face to face. One person can be in Canada and the other in Japan and they can talk over the phone. But, that’s not all what cell phones are used for. The cell phone has games, music and more. They have evolved into something wonderful.

Cell phones have grown into the 21st century! http://sjvs.flvs.net/webdav/educator_mjlangartsIII_v14/module02/rubrics/02_04_assignment_popd.htm states that “Less than two-tenths of one percent of the U.S. population owned a cell phone in 1990—a number that rose to nearly 40 percent just a decade later and approached three-quarters of all Americans by 2010, when there were more cell phones than wired telephones in use in the country”. The effect they have is amazing. For example say if someone wanted to check their email, they can do it on their phone instead of their computer.

“Some conditions, such as certain forms of autism or diseases of the vocal cords, leave individuals able to understand words but unable to vocalize them. Cellphones offer a portable and unobtrusive way to type what they want to say instead of having to say it aloud, with some phones also offering text-to-speech capabilities.” as said in http://science.opposingviews.com/cellphone-positive-impacts-society-4752.html. Cell phones can do a lot of things, but they can help kids who have disabilities.

These are just some of the effects that cell phones have on society. Therefore, you should really look into getting a cell phone if you don’t already have one; because they have some really good effects on not just society but you
