Media is a big part of our daily lives, it is all around us and nearly impossible to get away from. In the following passage, I will discuss how social media has improved and hurt our culture. Also, how influenced as a society we really are by media. In the conclusion, a discussion whether this type of media is in it for the profit or to make society better.

For example, the current primary election. At this point in time, if someone did not know how horrible of a human being Donald Trump is, they do now. According to an article, “Trump’s outrageous Mexico Remarks” by Sally Kohn, she quotes Trump allegations towards Hispanics stating, “When Mexico sends its people," Trump said during his presidential announcement, "they 're not sending the best. They 're not sending you, they 're sending people that have lots of problems and they 're bringing those problems. They 're bringing drugs, they 're bringing crime. They 're rapists and some, I assume, are good people, but I speak to border guards and they 're telling us what we 're getting." Trump gives himself a new headline in the news almost every other day. If he is not being racist, he is giving bad advice for current political issues. Before if a candidate said something bad, he could possibly get away with it. Because of Retweets and sharing no candidate or person is safe, you say one bad thing, it will be all over the world before you know it and it will be nearly impossible to ever erase.
Social media has gave us a lot of wiggle room. What hurts modern society the most is the ability to distinguish fact from fiction. We could either be highly influenced by anything we encounter or we could challenge what we view, and do our own research make sure it is

According to “8 Ways Facebook Changed The World” by Kurt Wagner, Facebook has changed the world by, “How we keep in touch with each other, how we share our lives, how we consume content, how we view privacy, and the way we view American Politics.” Sure Facebook is making millions of dollars in the process of all of this, but they are in it for the well-being of the human race. We are all capable of making our own decisions. As a whole society we have to realize there is going to be some negative content out there, and it is up to us to take the bad with the good and determine what will influence our decision
