Every second, every minute, every hour of the day someone is sleeping, resting trying to get prepared for what’s going to happen when they wake up. Most people sleep between the amount hours of seven and eight so when they wake up they feel refreshed and alert for their daily activities. Humans spend about one-third of their lives asleep, so of course it will have an affect on our bodies. Sleep affects how we look, feel, and perform daily tasks, and that’s they wanna hear. That is also the most common question that is asked when it comes to the topic of sleep; how does sleep affect our bodies. There are many processes that happen to our bodies when we sleep, but only one ordered phase all of them go through. If someone were to ask what happens to our body once we fall asleep most people would say that the body is “paralyzed”, or “ that we are half dead” or “our brains are turned off” and that’s all. Well that isn’t all true nor is that all it or right. According to scientist there is more than just having an immobile body while you are sleep, in fact there is a whole process that our bodies/brains go through. There are two types of sleep in this process NREM, which means non-rapid eye movement, and REM; rapid eye movement. It goes through the first 3 stage of NREM, then it switches over to the last stage REM. Sleep quality changes with transition from one sleep stage to another. Although the signals for transition between the four stages of sleep are mysterious, it is important to remember that these stages. Some people do not sleep through the whole entire sleep phase, so next time you wake up just know you may or may have not finshed to NREM and REM sleep phase. Also make she you get sleep because just like food and water sleep is important
