Year after year Pidgin evolved for the first time from the Hawaii Pidgin, used before American (English) influence, to Pidgin English. This evolution occurred because the interpretation had changed from a plantation workers perspective to that of school children, so instead of a work setting, Pidgin took more of a lax tone. As a result of the English influence to Hawaii Pidgin, many Hawaiian vocabulary was lost or omitted from the previous creole and replaced with English vocabulary. For example instead of “Eh, wahine hele kahakai” it changes to “Eh, sista we go beach” with the use of more English and little to no Hawaiian vocabulary, although the local accent is present. Pidgin remained constant with a mentality that it is a tradition passed down from generation to generation through parents and grandparents. The history of Pidgin English is very vague throughout the population who use it, mainly because of the evolution that occurred which changed the way Pidgin was spoken. Pidgin English is a way for locals to get in touch with their ancestors, as well as with their friends and families. When speaking Pidgin people do not have to worry about being grammatically correct along with being able to convey a message much quicker than speaking proper
