How Pheobe Changed My Life

For most of my life I’ve been like a magnet, always being pulled different ways and never really becoming myself, by myself. I’ve been a bottle without a message, floating between people and shores. I would keep friends for the school year then lose them in the summer because of my total apathy towards most of their lives, thus my lack of importance in theirs. This continued for all of middle school and my first two years of high school. [Make this moment more impactful, significant, so we know she’s someone important.] I met Pheobe as the older sister of a friend at the barn, which was probably the first positive way we related to each other. We formed a friendship based on mutual affection and common interests rather than being stuck together for 30 hours a week with little other choice for friends. …show more content…
She seems like her laugh has no end, until you get to know her, and understand and hear more about her past and present and hopes for the future. Her occasional bangs show how undecided she can be while being sure of all her choices. She has an empathy that stretches beyond this world, while never being too serious. She’s a storm that will either destroy you with the strength of her smile or bless your crops with needed rain. Some of our best times had both us
