Maximizing your day to work smarter not harder is key for most of us especially when you’ve worked a 9-10 hour day, you really need the energy to do your side hustle. Most days I leave work mentally drained, get home and log into my laptop to work my 5pm-9pm sometimes even longer. It’s not that I am not passionate about my brand but I would stay up so late reading and writing I would be exhausted in the morning. I’ve learned a lot of hacks on how to improve my time management skills and increase my productivity. After attending one of Mattiologies webinars, I learned the importance of working in batches. Since incorporating this process into my life, I have had a lot more free time during the week after work to devout to other things. For example, on Saturdays, I spend the first half of the morning working on my blog and Instagram posts for the week. I make sure I respond to social media posts that I was tagged in or reply to a comment. By incorporating this system, I am left with the second half of the day to play. On Sundays, I prep both my clothes and meals for the week. Most importantly, don’t be afraid to ask for help. As women, we pride ourselves on wearing that S on our chest but girl sometimes it’s okay to cover it up!! Sometimes it takes a village and if you have people that are willing to help you while you are pursuing your dreams, let …show more content…

Try to minimize distractions and overcome your fear of FOMO (fear of missing out). Dvr that reality show, say no to happy hour and anything else that is pulling you away from your dream rather than helping you achieve

In Knocking the Hustle: Against the Neoliberal Turn in Black Politics, Lester Spence examines the predominance of neoliberalism in Black communities. He challenges policies over the last forty years, which produced profit under the guise of community development. Spence finds that the neoliberal policies have the worse impact on Black communities. This paper will argue that because of the idea of the hustle, charter schools, and Black political actors, urban Black communities remain tied to poverty because neoliberalism deprives dependent communities of resources in the false hope of the private sector or market using their resources to help society.…
