How Old Is Lida Brave

The main character, Lida, is an 11 year old girl living in Germany in 1942 in the storey making bombs for Hitler. She is also Jewish , so the Nazis take her on a two whole day train ride, to a concentration camp. She is forced to do slave work even though she doesn't want to. Also she only gets served a half a piece of bread a day and has a huge lice problem. In the book she proves herself to be a brave character by doing all of those things.

At first Lida was captured by the Nazis and she showed her bravery. Lida refused to go with them even though they threatened her and her entire family. This shows Lida is brave because she is resisting the Nazis. The Nazis were a very powerful organization of people who hate certain races of people, like Lida. Since Lida is very young it must have been very scary for her to stick up for herself and her family. This is the first time in the story

What makes her very brave is that when she goes back there's a chance of getting caught and she is risking her life for others. Nazi death camps were very big camps that held people inside and that proves she is very brave.

If I was Lida I would probably jump of the train because if it was holding a lot of people in it then it would not be going that fast it would be going 5 to 10 miles per hour but in the book they said lida tried to do that so try the top of the train or the bottom but they didn't do that is what I would do.

Lida said “There is not much air on this train and it is so jammed pack that I could hardly even stand up if I could I Still wouldn't have enough energy to!” I think that is kind of sad because they only got a bite of bread every couple hours and a cup of water every day on the train wich they spend 2 days on! Wich is very little food and water for a two day
