Pastor Steven J. Cole of Flagstaff Christian Fellowship, Flagstaff, Arizona wrote the article "Lesson 7: God’s Design for Marriage (Genesis 2:18-25)," In it he talks about why God Designed Marriage, and what marriage means in "God's" terms (Genesis 2:18-25). He starts off by stating, "God designed marriage to meet our need for companionship and to provide an illustration of our relationship with Him (Genesis 2:18-25)." The first main topic of that’s sentence is "companionship", Why is it a necessity? According to Pastor Cole, "When you read Genesis 1 & 2, the words of 2:18 hit abruptly: “It is not good for the man to be alone." The author explains, "God’s evaluation was that the man needed a human companion to correspond to him (Genesis 2:18-25)." However, what can God do to design this "Companion" that was so desperately needed? Pastor Cole states, "He makes her from Adam’s rib (2:21-22)" and "God did it to show Adam that his wife was a part of him, equal with him, not a lower creation (Genesis 2:18-25)." However, woman was not created from man's rib to control over him, but "she was taken from his side that he would protect her and keep her close to his heart," he says. It is our right to keep marriage a sacrament because that's what God created humans for, the men and women are supposed to get married have children, land, wealth, and happiness. Abolishing Marriage will diminish the whole point in why god created women and men in the first place, for
