In this section, I will discuss how motion capture technology used in the making of ‘Avatar’ particularly via the swing camera. Motion capture in Avatar was exceptionally plugged for creating the realism of the film. However, motion capture was used in interestingly and creative ways in Avatar. One aspect of such use is employment of swing camera. People may ask what is swing camera? Swing camera is a virtual camera that could show the low resolution view of Pandora when shot the motion capture performances.
