Argument Essay Do you think technology is destroying our friendships? Well, I do and here's why. "A typical teen sends 2,000 texts a month and spends more than 44 hours per week in front of a screen.", says Lauren Tarshis in Is Technology Killing Our Friendships?. This means we spend too much on social media too; we need a break to spend time with friends in person. This quote matters because it tells us that teens are on technology too much, nothing but staring at a screen. Technology gets in the way of true friendships, getting us addicted to social media, and we could have better memories instead of us remembering texting our friend "Watcha doing?".
