The Hutus did not agree with Rusesabagina’s selfless actions of protecting the other kind, however, that did not stop him from saving all the Tutsi refugees. Rusesabagina was determined to protect the others and only made decisions that he thought would help them. Rusesabagina did everything he possibly could in order to keep the Tutsis safe. He even sent his family on a truck without him because he believed that was the safest place for his family. Although the truck was stopped by the Hutus, he managed to save everyone that was on the truck and take them back to the hotel. Eventually, he was able to save all of the Tutsi refugees by convincing the Rwandan Military to help Paul Rusesabagina transfer them across the line where the Hutus could not pass, saving thousands of Tutsis
