Odysseus is a man and hero who is really skilled and with his hand-eye coordination which is helpful when you need to fight. “My hand and eye are sound” (Homer 1005.3:58) Odysseus is talking about how he has good hand-eye coordination so he's skilled with his hands and eyes and for Odysseus it's very useful because he used a lot his bow and arrow. Odysseus was also a skilled man when it came to fighting and dealing with difficult situations too. “The man skilled in all ways of contending,” (Homer 963.1:2) When Odysseus is being introduced, the narrator refers to Odysseus as a skilled man in his ways of fighting and and dealing with issues.
