Odysseus is a Greek king of Ithaca but, he is known for being a hero in Odyssey. Threw out the myth Odysseus can sometimes be cocky or what some might call it arrogant. Even though Odysseus can be arrogant at times he also show traits of bravery, wise, strong, and loyal.

In The Odyssey, Odysseus have left his homeland for 20 years but in that time frame Odysseus have struggled to come home with the Trojan war also battling creatures and facing the gods. Odysseus wife Penelope and son Telemachus stayed in Ithaca. Many men were hoping to marry Penelope to end up becoming King of Ithaca. But no matter who tried to impress her, or what they look like or even what they did Penelope refuse to make a choice. Deep down inside Penelope knew Odysseus
