To Kill A Mockingbird To Kill a Mockingbird is a novel that you can, use imagery and you can picture what people look like or how they act. The Finch family is well-known in Maycomb they are a greatly respected family. The Finch family is known around town, they are honest people and would help as it is needed. Mr. Finch is well-respected for his duties as the district attorney, but he gets criticized for some of the work he does, including sticking up for Tom Robinson in his case. Tom Robinson was a quiet black man, that appreciated all people, he came across and if they needed him to do anything he would for free. Mr. Finch did not seem to think Tom would sexually assault any white women. He was married and had kids and he had no record of any violence in the past. Mr. Finch had an extreme chance of winning Tom’s case in court. Mr. Finch gave Tom his finest in hopes of winning. Mr. Finch was well-respected by the other folks in Maycomb. Atticus was a fantastic district attorney, he always gave his all in his cases, he argues to win. The town folks respected him because he always gave his all during his cases, whether he knew he was gonna lose or not, like Tom’s case. He was a forthright man who would help anyone who needed it. Finch was greatly respected in times he was criticized. Around town Atticus was friendly to the blacks when he talked to them, the town white town folks did not approve of this. They thought that no white man should have to converse with blacks because that is not how it was supposed to be. Atticus seemed to treat every person he came in contact with equal he did not see blacks as blacks, he saw them as another human being. People around Maycomb did not think Atticus should have taken Tom’s case, because it was going to ruin him. Mr. Finch did not care what was going to happen to his reputation, because he believed that Tom deserved a fair trial and that was what he was going to give
