Average People Vs Rich People Essay

One could argue that Michael Jordan or Hillary Clinton would get off easier than a normal average person. I believe that a rich person has more assets than an average person that will allow them to get off easier. An average person will go to jail because they are not rich or well known. Rich people will get off easier because they are wealthy and famous. There are two types of legal systems, one for the average and unfortunate and one for the rich and powerful. Rich people have an advantage because they are blessed with resources that are for them, elite legal representation, politically ties, and social connections that the average citizens are not privy to. Rich people are a symbol of "Imperialism" because they are superior to the average and poor. The practice of imperialism has many forms including economic and politically influence. This practice can be done directly or indirectly. Typically, imperialism is driven from a power basis in which stronger entities dominate weaker ones. In creating a system of superiority, the ruling class constructs the rules and regulations which are beneficial to them. The majority of rich people will get a lawyer that wins numerous amounts of cases. Their lawyer can know the judge and other people in the justice system that will side with them during the trial. By doing this, the rich person can plead guilty and get probation and not serve any jail time. On the other hand, an average person will plead guilty and go to jail and will not be able to receive probation. Social ties are people that a person would consider a friend or know locally. An example of social ties is a person that is part of the police force, judicial system, or a lawyer. A social tie can help a rich person get off easy but a political tie has a better
