Media is important to our world because people feel inform. However, people don’t know that they are not full inform about the world they live in. In the movie Network, that was created in 1976, it illustrates a world where TV news became enjoyment formulating a world where unrealistic and realistic are obscure. The Characters in the movie lost touch about themselves because they didn’t separate the fiction and nonfiction of their world which brought consequences, for example, Diana the only thing she thought about and made her happy was ratings, Howard became psychotic because he could not believe what has happening to the world, and Max couldn’t let go about how news was presented in his era. Mr. Beale said “But, man, you 're never going to get any truth from us. We 'll tell you anything you want to hear; we lie like hell. We 'll tell you that,”. Therefore, Mr. Beale was warning people to not believe in the media because they only lie and will only transmit what the people want to see or hear. After all, this theme is relevant to our media saturated world of 2016 because the reporters only report easy stories that people want to read about not complicated stories that reporters have to risk their lives or have to wait a long time to report the story. The reporters have to come up with fast easy stories that will attracted people and get ratings. For example, the TV show “Keeping up with the Kardashian” have a lot of ratings because people are driven to know about the live of Kim Kardashian because for women she has the ideal body and for men is the desire to have a woman like her. However, news now is about gossip and not important news that people have to know about. People that have their own reality TV show are part of the corporations that own the media because they are only presenting non sense in their TV shows and not important things that people should now like the problem Walmart corporation had with their employees. The whole media is about making a profit and not inform people about the reality of the world.
