To say that media is ever changing is an understatement. Each year provides a new sense of media, how it is developed, and how it changes the world around us. Some say that media is already taking over the world; while others say that the worst has yet to come. In years past, the only source of media was the television. Now, we have several other platforms to find our source of media, or our “media fix”. “The basis of social media is sharing other media. There are no longer one-source distributors of media that can easily be controlled (i.e. "turn off that television")” (Wolff, Michael). I think about how different our world was 10 years ago. It is scary to think about how our world will change due to media in the next 10 years or so.

With all of the advances in communication and technology, our living environment will be much better then it was 10 or 20 years ago. This will be due to our world will be very green and less wasteful due to technological advances in chemical and waste. We will be able to contact recycling companies and they will pick up our recycling right away and not have to wait until trash pickup day. We will be able to go outside and breathe without the fear of breathing in chemicals and harmful substances. Our technology will help us stay clean inside our homes because we will have the power and means to save energy and water in our own homes. Our work environment will be healthier as well. We will not have issues with negativity because the media will be cleaned out of all negative news. Media will not control our lives in a negative way because of all the good it does. People are already worried about the fact that several individuals cannot have a conversation with a “real” person and can only interact by social media. This will be even worse in 2025. All communication will be done though media. The majority of offices will be virtual and workers will not have to leave their homes to work. Technology will have taken over the world so much that there will be no need for education. People will be withdrawn and depression rates will be booming. This will result in the rapid increase in crime rate. This world will also be so polluted that it will no longer be safe for people to swim in the ocean. Instead of the crisp blue color, the ocean will almost be black. Because of all the technology, it will be easier than ever for terrorist to make their mark in America.
