He is left with a sad feeling leaving his friends. At the end of the movie, I saw a more caring Lightning, he was excited to see that his friends showed up to the race to support him in his pit crew. He valued friendships and did not care about winning. On the last lap of his race, a fellow race car gets into a wreck and McQueen helps that car across the finish line before him. All of this showed me that Lightning McQueen was definitely a dynamic character due to the love from his friends.
