How Is Life Of Pi Being Stranded

I chose the topic of being stranded somewhere. In “The Life of Pi” Pi get set into the sea with a tiger from a zoo. Being stranded alone is stressful enough, but being stranded with a tiger and not knowing what may happen can stress someone out to the max. Pi is a middle aged man who was a vegetarian that needed to learn to eat meat and survive. The tiger helped him learn how to kill and eat the meat from anything including humans. Pi went through so much stress that he broke and couldn’t control what he was doing because he got so hungry, but eventually straightened himself out. The first time he had ever eaten meat was a fish from the sea. He was completely disgusted at the fact that he had to do that to live. That being said you also need willpower and to keep your sanity while you are stranded. That is something that Pi didn’t do. Pi had the willpower to fight his urge of not eating meat to survive, and he broke those barrier with the cost of his sanity. Sanity is another point that can’t really be helped, because you can have the willpower to live but if your brain is done you just might go insane and kill anyone or anything that comes close to you. Segregation will do this to you. That’s what happened to Pi, his sanity dropped to a point where humans were no longer friends, but food. Self discipline is another factor for the survival of Pi. He needs to learn that he himself needs to hold back on eating so much that he runs out of food, and he needs to hunt for his food with the tiger, and he needs to be able to protect himself. Pi used self discipline by learning how to hunt and to overcome his vegetarian ways to survive. Pi had a hard long life, but he pulled through in the end and survived with the
