Julius Caesar is a play written by William Shakespeare in 1623. It is about the assassination of Caesar and the war following after his death. Brutus and Antony are two of the main characters with quite different views of Caesar. Brutus saw Caesar as a threat to Rome, while Antony saw him as a kind and caring leader.
Brutus was a highly ranked and well respected nobleman of Rome. He participated in the conspiracy against Caesar and eventually kills him. His reasons for this was that he thought Caesar would gain too much power and become ambitious. He did this to protect the republic of Rome. Brutus was a man of pride, he valued honor above all else.
Antony however, saw Caesar as a great leader, that he was kind, caring and strong.
