About Ah, Hitler. Perhaps one of the most interesting and influential figures in history. Whether you discuss as professional historian or you simply make bad puns about him in the back of your geometry class, you can’t doubt that he was indeed interesting and influential. And that is what the following text is about. Hitler himself. I’ve cut out a few parts to get this done on time, but really, who didn’t expect me to cut corners? Prepare yourself for the most well-written of last minute short biographies about hitler by some stupid freshman.

Hitler and Childhood
Hitler was born in Braunau am Inn, Austria, on April 20th 1889. His father, Alois Hitler, was a rather strict parent. Hitler caught a bit of the old “Angsty teen” Attitude and grew to resent his father greatly. Hitler was finally free when his father died in 1903, the man leaving money behind to help his family. He lived in Vienna during this time, hopping from cheap hotel to cheap hotel. Eventually getting on his feet by selling paintings and living in a community 'Men's Home'. Hitler was more than likely influenced by Karl Lueger, Vienna’s deeply anti-Semitic mayor.

Hitler and WWI
Hitler moved to Munich in 1913 and avoided military service as he saw himself as “Unfit”. But when the first war started, he joined the 16th Bavarian Infantry Regiment. He served throughout the war staying corporal after refusing promotion. He was a brave soldier and he won the ‘Iron Cross’ twice which is highly honorable. Four weeks before the end of the war, he suffered from a gas attack and was [temporarily] blinded.When he learned about Germany’s surrender, he took it as betrayal.
