George Washington Carver, is known to be the “Peanut Man”. He is widely known for his work with peanuts. Most believe that he invented peanut butter. However this is not a fact. Carver and his team did this original research as well as promoted the applications and recipes. Carver came up with over 300 uses for the peanut and 100 for sweet potatoes including antiseptic soap, tanning lotions, shaving cream, shampoo and paints.
Carver died on Jan. 5, 1943. Although he was well accomplished at the time of his death most of his inventions were not a huge success.
