As a member of the team I was involved in the initial grocery store scavenger hunt. All group members including myself worked together in selecting 5 foods within each of the categories. Once all foods were selected it was my responsibility to calculate unit pricing and price per calorie for fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, butter, margarines, cheeses, and condiments. It was also my responsibility to research unit pricing. I obtain information from all group members and wrote our findings in question 2. I participated in group meetings; if I was not able to be physically present I stayed in contact via text, voice and email. In terms of writing and editing all group members including myself collaborated on Google docs. Overall I remained an active member throughout the entire project.

I worked collaboratively with my group on the trip to the grocery store. My group and I had decided that it would be best to split up the aisles amongst one another. I was responsible for the recording the information on the meat and grains and assisted the others when I completed my part. After the grocery store visit, my group and I met on many occasions and I was able to meet with them to talk about how the work load would be split amongst us and helped in delegating the work. I also did the calculations and discussed the marketing and nutritional claims for the aisles I was responsible for. For step two of the project, my main focus was the handout. I read through journal articles and research in order to provide a handout that met the group’s expectation. I was involved in the google doc, made suggestions and helped with editing portions of the assignment. The group and I met together one last time to put this project together, make corrections and to make sure the assignment flowed well. Overall, I believe I was a team player throughout the

First, what worked well was how our group integrated our individual skills together to complete the project. In high school, we were constantly being told that we could not work in groups because we would get too loud. In university group work was encouraged so that our professors wouldn't have to do as much marking. During my observations at my CSL there was a lot of group work. Comparing when the students were working on group work to their individual work, the results were polar opposites. The tasks for students was to write down what they knew about 5 sided figures.…

I have been working for Methodist for the past 4 years in our registration department and out of those four years, I have had the opportunity to work with 3 different management teams. Although, each of my management teams delivered different methods on how to properly register a patient under 7 min or less, our goal we have always strived for was keeping our patient satisfaction scores at a high. Our organization implemented a strategy called AIDET, (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explain, and Thank you) to make this process work effectively. I recently attended a group observation at Project Point of Light in Shippenville, Pennsylvania. The overall experience was a positive one. It was very interesting to talk to the members and hear their sides of the story. They truly are just human beings and I believe that meeting with them and having an opportunity to talk to them has somewhat changed my view of sex offenders overall. Though I am still confused by their behaviors, which is somewhat difficult to overcome, but I am more understanding of who they are because they are only human and they know they have made a mistake.…

Teamwork in this particular task was straightforward and we had no problems in terms of participation and contribution. Having said that there was also no 'social loafing ' within my team, as Latane et al., 1979 argued was a problem in teams, whereby people were louder individually than they were in groups (chapter 6, pg. 180). “As important as the participation of group member is to group synergy, no one wants to encourage participation from members who are obnoxious or bent on sharing misinformation”. (J. Dan Rothwell, pp 276). 3 out of 5 group members were only focused on finishing their portion of the work, which complicated the whole project because it has to be done by the member who proposed the change. Low participation is the problem I felt that we encounter in this group project. I was fully motivated, and willing to spend more time with it; however, not all members were doing effective communications to follow through.…

Introduction In this reflection, I will focus on some important topics such as, what I learned about individual and business taxation from this course, what was my experience with the group project and what were the challenges that I faced during both the group project and this course. I am also going to add some main overall points that I learned. Tax is generally an amount of money that is charged by a government on a product, income, or activity so that it can pay for public services. In addition, there are several very common types of taxes: • Income Tax (a percentage of individual or corporate earnings filed to the government) • Sales Tax (taxes charged on certain goods and services) • Property Tax (taxes charged on the value of land…
