Facebook is considered a toxic website. It has dehumanized us as a whole. We know were people are every second of the day with there status and location updates. We say what we want without thinking about it, and having a filter is not something you see on Facebook. We care more about what others think and always try to put our best selves on the website. We always try to out do our friends and make our lives seem the best. This is what many people think about Facebook. The truth is, Facebook is one of the best social networking sites because of its ability to provide up to the minute news, connect people with family and friends around the world, entertain them, and be a free service.

On a sunny Friday morning I was scrolling through my Facebook feed when a news page that I had liked, had its headline saying, “Gay Marriage is Legal in All 50 States.” As someone who doesn’t watch the news this was the first I heard of it. They might not get to be a big part of each others lives but they allow them to see into each others lives. The parents can watch the child they gave up grow up and the child can have a bond with there birth parents and have unanswered questions answered. There have been many stories about parents who would find there child they gave for adoption on Facebook and would talk to the new parents and ask if they could connect with there child once again. Alexander Dorf connected with his mother after she talked to his new parents and now they are apart of each others
