How Is Elizabeth Proctor Honest

“He have his goodness now. God forbid I take from him!” These were the cries from Elizabeth Proctor in a attempt to save her husbands life and reputation. Elizabeth was known as the woman who could never tell a lie but, being the wife of the towns most notorious dishonrable outcast is starting to make Elizabeth lose her reputation and her freedom due to accusations of witchcraft. In comparison between Elizabeth Proctor and myself we have many similar traits such as being caring, loyal, and posessing the strongest honisty. Elizabeth Proctor and I are both the most caring individuals. Both Elizabeth and I try our very best to care and protect others we love even if it means telling a lie. Elizabeth fights tooth and nail in the courtroom to protect her husband John from being hung and shamed for witchcraft and an affair. I relate to Elizabeth because even though somebody has done me wrong or went behind my back in times of trouble I will always defend and give someone the benefit of the doubt. Elizabeth showed so much courage throughout the story and when questioned by the courts she never backed down and did the untinkable and told a lie for the good of someone else. The courage to even face Abigail Williams in court after knowing your husband had an affair with her must have been heartbreaking but still Elizabeth did all she could. I relate to Elizabeths courage because I know what its like to need that courage especially when im on stage singing in front of other people or playing music and my anxiety kicks in. That feeling of courage helps me to face my fears. Care, honesty, and courage are the three most important characteristics Elizabeth and I share.
