Despite success in being able to prompt jobs through his Recovery Act policy in 2009, it has done very little to change the rate of unemployment (“The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009: Education Jobs and Reform.”). With the implementation of the Recovery Act stimulus, Obama’s economic advisors promised that the unemployment rates would stay below 8 percent and fall to 6 percent by the year 2012 (“The Five Biggest Failures From President Obama's Stimulus Law”). This has proven to be a huge failure today. Over 12.8 million Americans are unemployed, more than 8.2 million cannot find enough work to sustain their household. More than 1.1 million Americans have ultimately given up hope of finding steady work. The average unemployment rate still holds high at 8 percent (“The Five Biggest Failures From President Obama's Stimulus Law”). The Recovery act, if anything, has caused our nation to fall further into debt, continuing to push us into a depression, and into poverty. He has proclaimed the want to responsibly remove troops from Iraq, and return peace to the people. After taking office in 2009, Obama was to carry out the agreement President George W. Bush finalized with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki called the Status of Forces Agreement (“Obama Wanted to Keep 10,000 Troops in Iraq, ABC's Raddatz Claims.”). This agreement promised to have all troops fully withdrawn from Iraq by 2011. That goes to say, Obama announced his own plans on February 27, 2009, a month after taking office, stating that by August 31, 2010, the combat mission in Iraq would come to an end (“Obama Wanted to Keep 10,000 Troops in Iraq, ABC's Raddatz Claims.”). With this proclamation, a large portion of some 35 thousand to 55 thousand troops were to stay behind to train Iraqi military personnel until notified otherwise. Obama’s plans for Iraq and Afghanistan do not appear to hold true to his campaign proposals, nor do they aid America’s relations with the Middle-East. Many Americans see this as Obama failing to amend peace, and return our troops
