How Is Atticus Finch Wise

Atticus Finch is a very important man in his town. In the novel To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee Atticus is portrayed as a well-known person that is respected by most people. He is a very wise, determined, and respectful person and he shows these traits various times in the novel. Atticus Finch is such a wise man for always giving his children, Jem and Scout Finch beneficial advice. He tells his kids about life and how they should treat others fairly, and to not use prejudice to define how one is as a person. For example when he gives Scout a piece of advice about how she shouldn't judge others, and his exact words were, “You never really understand a person of view…-until you climb in his skin and walk around in it”(Lee 39).
