Atticus Finch is a Respectful man he stuck by Tom Robinson side even when the town was against him. He was also very respectful when he was talking to mayella on the stand he knew that it was going to be hard so he told her that if she didn't want to answer the question that was fine.Atticus knew that Mayella was sticking up for her dad but Atticus just went on and asked questions and waited patiently for her to answer. Not only was he being towards a colored man but also to the colored mans family. After the trial and they found Tom Robinson “guilty” the family was shocked and very disappointed because they knew he was innocent. Tom went and told them that he was truly sorry and that he was not finished looking for the proof that he was innocent and the real person that done this will be caught soon.
