In the introductory chapters of Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird, Atticus Finch comes across as an astute and senile lawyer in his mid fifties with an adoration of literature and a slightly elusive scholarly attitude. Through Chapter 10, this characterization of him undergoes a noticeable transformation as the story progresses and he starts being seen less as mundane and unaccomplished and more as a hero.
