THE VOICE OF…ME
Have you ever stopped to think about how important our veterans are to our nation’s history? Well I need to tell you that without them we wouldn’t be the nation we are today. Without veterans we might have not won some of our hardest wars. Without veterans we probably wouldn’t have won WWII. We also wouldn’t have won the Revolutionary war. If we did not win this war we wouldn’t have won our independence and we wouldn’t be the same country we are today. If we didn’t have these veterans we would have lost the Civil war and we would still have slaves and a lot of famous people in history wouldn’t exist and we would still have racism. Veterans show us how to respect the people we see every day. They teach us to not give up till we have success and achieve our goals. Veterans have risked their lives for us and that we should be grateful for. They lost some of their fellow Veterans in war and witnessed their death they pushed through though they did not give up till they won the war. We need to be grateful for these people I couldn’t imagine going through that and having

We can’t lose anymore men. I see a future we won’t have any more veterans to go into war. I see us going past this and using technology to do everything in war for us. I see no more men having to go out there and risk their lives. We need to use technology to our advantage we need to create wireless machines to go out there and fight for us they don’t have feeling machines can’t get hurt they don’t have an American life at risk they can fight our wars and win them for us. They won’t be affected by bullets hitting them and this way we will be the strongest country out there and we wouldn’t be able to lose. Of course there will be men operating them back at home but they won`t get killed if it is destroyed. If we follow through with these ideas many lives will be saved. This is why our veterans will be

Veterans many times keep what they see during combat to themselves rather than sharing their stories with others. “For most people in combat, experiences range from the best of times to the worst of times” (pg. 81). Junger later explains that not letting veterans’ expresses their true feelings only hinders them. That they should be allowed to share their feelings on a day dedicated to them, Veterans Day. He states that some may say their experiences were the best thing to ever happen to them yet others may be so upset for what they endured they won’t make sense.…

In America, we have the right to vote, work, drive and many more activities we can partake in and to this we owe our veterans. It’s because of them that I can walk freely; they inspire me. Throughout their days of duty, they were motivated to fight for their values. They act as a martyr for the country and that’s a job most people are far from willing to take. Most people in America have nice lives and it's because of the women and men who serve for this nation.…

The question being asked of me is “Why Veterans are Important to Our Nation’s History and Future?” Veterans are important to me because I live with two of them and I have a lot of them in my family. Without them, I wouldn’t know the reason why we have people sacrificing themselves for our country. My Grandpa, Roy Noble, always said that “War is not good but fighting for our country is,” I didn’t really understand that until I realized without them we wouldn’t have a free country. Britain would have taken over and we would have a queen instead of a president, or something like that.…
