Immigration is when a person enters a country with the intention of living there. Those of you who think immigration is bad, well, your wrong! I immigrated to this country as Syrian refuge a year ago, coming here changed my life, it freed me from war, it gave a chance to start afresh. When i came here i did not know much english but coming to england help me to progress my knowledge. This leads me to my first point. Immigration provides people with a new start, it allows them to turn over a new leaf. For me coming to England may have been the hardest thing but it was good for me. Immigration allows people to move into a better place.
Many of you may say 'immigrants are taking up our jobs'-- well, are they really? Immigrants are eager to find jobs, they immigrate to parts where there is low employment rates, they also are willing to work for long hours for a decent pay. Some immigrants are highly skilled and will benefit to services in this country. Not only that but some of the immigrants can helpful to the NHS. …show more content…
Research has shown that 32% of immigrants has a professional or managerial job, 20% of immigrants has a manual or clerical job and the othe 48% are children, students, and housewives (8% children, 8% housewives, 27% students and 5% other). 32% have a managerial job, in this some immigrants can be owners of companies, which will create more job for UK residents.
My fourth and final point is that the effect of immigration is that it has created a mix range of different religions in this country. It has produced a multicultural society where people with different beliefs and traditions live and work together. This has contributed to the interest to this country which has made it a good tourist
