How I survived the Zombie Apocalypse Waking up to the loud screeching siren and a voice blaring through the speaker of my phone at the crack of dawn wasn’t the best feeling. The Public Service Announcement stated that that there was a zombie apocalypse and it wasn’t a drill. My heart raced. In a split second, instantly grabbed the three most important things I could think of that time: my energy drinks, my machete, and my slowest friends. It was three in the morning and I was doing what every normal person was doing at that particular time: sleeping. “This is not a drill, everyone take cover or take action. It’s every person for them self, again this is not a drill. It is a zombie apocalypse. I ran over to my closet and grabbed five packs of monster energy drinks and placed them into the army style backpack I had hanging on the chair. I had no doubt that it would be a long night and I would be in need of the energy to fight off the flesh eating infested creatures. “Ebony what are you going to do? You can’t even take on the mosquitoes that fly around outside.” I thought to myself. The thoughts that I were thinking were not helping. Of course I was freaking out, but I knew that fear wouldn’t help me in that time of need, so I had to swallow my fear and show pride. The loud buzzing of my phone took me out my deep thoughts.
