Modern technological advancements, such as video games and mobile applications have increasingly transformed the manner in which kids play and behave. A particular toy has withstood the test of time through its promotion of creative and imaginative learning abilities. Play-Doh first entered the market in 1955 (Mandour & Associates, 2011). Its distinctly malleable characteristics have not changed despite the evolution of learning products geared towards younger generations. There was a time when Play-Doh wasn’t the only modeling company out there. “Yummy dough” was a product invented by a U.K. toy distributor, MAPS Toys.
