How Has Social Media Changed Over Time

Internet has been around for a while now but the number of user and the demand of it is at all-time high. Everything we do now a days somehow requires the use of the internet. For my internet log assignment, I choose to start it on Friday. Because we had to keep track of three consecutive days, I wanted to see how my internet use differentiate from weekdays to weekends. My initial thought was I would spent a lot more time on the internet on weekends than weekdays. However, after keeping track of my internet activities, I found out I used more internet on weekdays than weekends. The large amount of my internet was used for watching basketball game. Before collecting this date, I had no idea about the amount of time I spent on the internet. I go on the internet multiple times a day, but never spent a large amount of time on it. After collecting the date, I realized about ¼ of my day is gone on the internet. Using social media first thing in the morning and before going to bed has been a long term habit of mine. The word social media has changed overtime. Social media is just not to connect with friends and family anymore. Social media works like a news source for me. Only social media I use is Facebook. I follow more than 20 news network on Facebook. Using Facebook in the morning allows me to get update on all the major news of the day in one single place. It also allows me to read the news articles. Social media is vast and full of information. However, not all are accurate.
