How Has Football Impacted Our Society

Football has impacted our society by girls playing football, by how many people watch football, and by people’s relationships through football. First of all, now football is not a gender specific sport. Guys and girls can play the game. There is powder puff football at high schools which is flag football for girls that is a homecoming event at most high schools. Most high schools make it a big deal and have the entire student body at the game. Then there are younger girls who play on the boy’s teams. I know this because my aunt was one of them. She played on the Junior Chargers with boys and was really good. There are girl’s football leagues where just girls play. Second off, how many people actually watch football? And where does all that watching come from? The top most watched football event is the Super Bowl. The Super Bowl happens every year in February. There are fantasy football teams, which are teams that you make with friends to earn points based on the games that are played by the NFL teams. You can earn cool NFL autographed prizes from getting the highest scores from your chosen rosters. There’s also hate relationships. There’s the Bears/ Packers rivalry where everyone pretty much despises each other. If you’re at a Bears/Packers game be ready to rumble because that’s going to be a rough game!!! There are also fights on and at the field. The players fight on the field with other players from other teams. But there are also fights among fans. Say you’re wearing the wrong kind of jersey, like you’re at a Bears game at home and you see an Eagles fan.
