How Has Andy Stover Influenced My Life

Decent Essays
The most influential person in my life is my former basketball coach Andy Stover. I transfered from Pendleton to Daleville during my freshman year and he has been a mentor for me since then. When I first transfered I found it hard to make friends and had a few incidents where I got into arguments with my teachers. Andy Stover introduced himself to me and said he truly understood how I was feeling. From then on he has mentored me and kept me out of trouble. I joined the basketball team my sophmore year and Coach Stover has changed my life. He has made me a better athlete, student, and a better person in society. Without Coach Stover I wuld not be where I am today and that is why he has forever influenced my life for the better.

How did we choose our topic? We chose our topic through determining who are some of the most influential people in American history, this was decided by thinking who made a major difference that changed how our lives are lived today. Jackie Robinson is a good fit for our project because he broke the color barrier in professional baseball, which if he had not done so, Major League Baseball as we know it would be drastically different. 2.…

The person who inspires me the most is soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo, he isn't just a normal soccer player to me he is my inspiration and my motivation to never stop trying, never give up, and doing the best I can. This belief is important to me because during my own personal struggles as a kid I looked up to Ronaldo as a role model someone who I could relate to and make a personal connection with. I have come to develop this belief because even with Cristiano's struggles in life he was still able to do what everyone claimed to be impossible, change the way million's of people view the sport of soccer. When I first witnessed Cristiano Ronaldo play soccer I didn't think of him as anything special just another ordinary Portuguese soccer player, but as his talent started to improve so…
