What this means is that people that are "left out" of group activities can lose more self-esteem and morality than people who are included in low-status groups. This theory may be difficult to understand; however, I use it almost every time that I work in a group. I always try to make sure that group morale is high and that the members of the group feel like their effort is valued. I take precautions so that my group members do not experience a loss in self-esteem and so that my group members do not lose interest in the group's task. In lamest terms, I try to make sure that everyone in the group feels like they are completing the task at hand effectively. I believe that my group work has been increasingly effective throughout the semester because I have been following the guidelines that are explained in the Group Dynamics
