From the study, it can be concluded that a human’s thoughts, beliefs and feelings can have an impact the way they behave. Unfortunately, some females with Endometriosis may experience depression and anxiety because they believe no one truly understands what they are going through. (O’Donnell, 2018) An example that demonstrates this is the interview with the female patient. She explained about how she always thought her teachers disliked her for taking several consecutive days off in a week because of the pain. However, she was fortunate to have teachers who were understanding of her situation.
In a YouTube video published by The Doctors, the focus was on a woman diagnosed with Endometriosis named Janessa and how the debilitating disease had decreased her quality of life. Throughout the video, she mentioned not being able to work as the pain was beginning to become unbearable, constantly taking different types of medications to manage the pain and not being able to afford treatments.
