How Does Winter Dreams Relate To The American Dream

I wrote this song because the story Winter Dreams by F. Scott Fitzgerald was probably my favorite story that I read for this class. Even when I was first reading it I had thought of how the relationship between Judy and Dexter would be perfect to make a song out of. The story overall has many different elements portraying the average idea of the American Dream. Fitzgerald used the life of Dexter to show the ideas of making your own fortune, the excitement and sadness of young love, and being admired by others and considered high class to show a view of the American Dream.

Both Dexter and Fitzgerald made their fortunes on their own and they both felt the exhilaration and the heartbreak of young love. I made that the main theme of my song because
