Some children may already be born with a condition that will automatically affect them, diabetes or a blood condition etc.. Other children may have a predisposition towards certain diseases which may affect them later in life, an example of this is asthma. Children who live in areas where the air quality is poor or are living in conditions of damp and smoking are more likely to develop Asthma as opposed to other children living in better conditions. If a child is unwell for a long time or they have an ongoing medical condition it may affect their development greatly.
