For the duration of our growth, everyone learns new aspects in life. When learning them, we only acknowledge it, but only knowing about it is no longer a way of representing the unknown. Although, interacting with the unknown allows our humanity to learn specific things about it. In the two texts, E.T. directed by Steven Spielberg and Stranger Things directed by the Duffer brothers it shows how the characters interact with the unknown. As they do so, the viewers can see what it reveals about humanity. The unknown concedes the complexity of our humanity such as the curiosity, love, and fear that humans derive from.
