Tom Robinson is a character who shows up rarely but gives the book a great theme about how porely African-American people where treated. He shows how they were blamed for things they did not do, and how discusted white people were to them.

One reason, is he was sent to jail and court because he ¨beat up and raped¨ Mr. Ewellś daughter.Mr. Ewell was a low life dirty man, but since he was white he knew he would win, even though he was the one who did it. Tom Robinson was a kinda black man you would want around, always willing to help and thatś what he did for Mr. Ewellś daughter, he was just being nice and friendly. Butit turned on him because it was a white word against a black word.

Everyone was after Tom even though he didn´t do it but
