How Does Tim Burton Use Cinematic Techniques

Many famous directors have their own way of making a movie. They all have different styles when making movies. Directors do this by using certain cinematic techniques repeatedly in their different films. It is easy to tell which films are by certain directors without knowing that it was made by that particular directors. One director, for instance, named Tim Burton, demonstrates his style in movies like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Edward Scissorhands and, Alice in Wonderland. Tim Burton's style uses different cinematic techniques like camera movements, music and, lighting. In Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, Tim Burton uses different camera movements. One of the camera movements was the pan, he used it on the ticket winners when they were all in the front of the factory waiting for the gates to be opened. Tim Burton wanted to show all of the tickets winners faces. Another camera movement he used was the dolly, but this time it was in Edward Scissorhands. He wanted to set a mood when adding music. In Charlie and The Chocolate Factory the Oompa Loompas sang a song when something happens to a kid. This type of music was diegetic music, it's when the characters can hear it too. Also, in Edward Scissorhands, he uses music but nondiegetic music.
