A man and his big native husky named Pepper are passing through the Klondike Yukon.The man and the dog are traveling in the Yukon to get back to camp. On the way there the man builds a fire every few feet, they travel back to camp. The man faces a few obstacles, but he still manages to try and make his way back to camp.Jack London created a story called ‘’To Built a Fire’’ he made the story about a man and his husky passing through the Yukon to get back to camp.The setting in To Build A Fire has an impact on several parts of the story. Another way that the setting has an impact on the theme involves the man starts out with only a slightness of being cold.He wants to make his way to the mining camp at Henderson Creek so that he can whip his biscuits out of his sweaty shirt and fill them with greasy bacon.Also his friends are waiting for him at the camp with a fire going.(3)Theres a dog named Pepper walking on his heels and he is the only one to seem to notice how cold it is.As they are walking the man starts sensing stings in his cheek.The man finally stops to build his fire so he can sit down and eat his lunch.The man starts chuckling due to the cause of his fingers going numb.Next he takes out his pipe and he sits there in the warmth of the fire.Meanwhile the man is sitting back in the warmth of the fire the dog Pepper is having doubts about traveling through the cold,and when it is time to go Pepper does not want to leave.As they start back walking the man gets his feet wet and he starts cursing,knowing that it will add another hour to the journey he has to take to make it back to camp because he has to build another fire to dry his boots.He builds the fire and his fingers start to lose feeling and also he is unable to bend them.The man fails at making the fire and he is really out of it at this point.The man didn’t attempt to build another fire, he says ‘’Come here doggie’’ he constantly calls to Pepper meanwhile Pepper just stands there in the snow staring at the man.After a few more callings
