In “Those Winter Sundays” and “First lesson” the parents show their love in different ways. For example the parent in “First lesson” showed his love in advice. In “Those Winter Sundays” the parent shows his love by comitmate.

In “First Lesson” the the child/parent relationship is how to trust yourself, independence, and advice on how to live. The father is giving advice to his daughter on how to trust herself and to be independent. In contrast in “Those Winter Sundays” the father does not really show his love.

In “Those Winter Sundays” the father shows his love by waking up early to get the house warm. So he commits to waking up before everyone else and warm the house. The child looking back at this notice he did it without getting a single
