The purpose of this experiment is determine if temperature affects the abundance of Cranefly larvae. The independent variable of this experiment is the temperature. This was shown by having 20 fish tanks all having different temperatures between 2℃ and 40℃. The dependent variable is the species which is Cranefly larvae. The hypothesis of this experiment is that the Cranefly larvae will gravitate towards the colder temperate water which is about 10℃. This is because during the warmer months the larvae will dig underground to stay cold in the water and during the colder months they will be more visible in the water because the water will be
