One way that Gulliver overcomes his fears is with his interactions with Glumdalclitch is his fear of the giants. He overcomes in the story with the help of Glumdalclitch when she shows Gulliver kindness and compassion instead of calling him a freak of nature and trying to kill him. It is obvious that others can also see that Glumdalclitch has shown kindness to him when it states, ¨Glumdalclitch should still continue in her office of tending me, because he observed we had a great affection for each other.¨ This shows that Glumdalclitch´s interactions with Gulliver have helped him over come his fear on the giants.
